This week, the headnorth team took part in the official launch. This was one of the only occasions that the team will all be in one place before training in Norway next month, and was a good opportunity to discuss the philosophy behind headnorth. Every member of the team is passionate about our causes and raising funds that will make a real difference to those suffering through brain tumours and head injuries.
Team spirit is a key part of this challenge and will be essential when we are on the trek. The launched reinforced our commitment to working together to raise as much as we can for the Lewis Moody Foundation and the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund - we know that with your support, we can achieve our ultimate aim of raising in excess of £250,000.
Headnorth team member Lewis Moody is also taking part in Shackleton 2015, commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Sir Ernest Shackleton's 1915 Imperial Trans-Antarctica Expedition and reviving the spirit of the Endurance in an attempt to complete Sir Ernest Shackleton's crossing of Antarctica from the Weddell Sea to the Ross Sea via the South Pole, and the headnorth team will also be working to raise awareness of this historic challenge.
